"Champion" graces the men's locker room of the 2 time NCAA Champion Men's Lacrosse team in the heart of Arlotta Stadium on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.

Walking up to the 180 sq ft mural reveals the story of the program including an archival photograph of one of the first Notre Dame lacrosse teams. They did not wear helmets.

The helmet features designs from the Book of Kells to celebrate Irish tradition and faith.

Patterns from the rose window in the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris pay homage to the role of french heritage in the founding of Notre Dame and the naming of the the sport of lacrosse.

A ring of feathers honors the Native American origins of the sport while the interlocking pattern created by Revere La Noue weaves a Shamrock and Fleur de Lis with symbols of the athletes journey... a shovel (community/hard work), a pen (culture/academics), a torch (character/passion)

After the 2023 National Championship, Head Coach Kevin Corrigan arranged for prints of "Champion" to be sent to every alum of the program as a surprise gift.
